Keen Smell: The swarm has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Swarm: The swarm can occupy another creature's space and vice versa, and the swarm can move through any opening large enough for a Tiny rat. The swarm can't regain hit points or gain temporary hit points.
Bites: Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 0 ft., one target in the swarm's space. Hit: 7 (2d6) piercing damage, or 3 (1d6) piercing damage if the swarm has half of its hit points or fewer.
The Swarm of Rats is a low-level creature in Dungeons and Dragons with a Challenge Rating of only 1/4. While they may not be a formidable opponent individually, they can be quite dangerous in numbers as they are immune to most conditions and can overwhelm their enemies with sheer numbers. However, their low AC and CON make them vulnerable to area-of-effect attacks and spells. Overall, the Swarm of Rats provides a unique and flavorful enemy for parties to encounter, but should not pose too much of a challenge for experienced adventurers.
Swarm of Rats is D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) 5th edition content, but other TTRPGs may have their own version such as a Swarm of Rats Pathfinder edition. Want to use Swarm of Rats in a VTT (virtual tabletop)? Try out SendingStone for free today!
