Blood Frenzy: The swarm has advantage on melee attack rolls against any creature that doesn't have all its hit points.
Swarm: The swarm can occupy another creature's space and vice versa, and the swarm can move through any opening large enough for a Tiny quipper. The swarm can't regain hit points or gain temporary hit points.
Water Breathing: The swarm can breathe only underwater.
Bites: Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 0 ft., one creature in the swarm's space. Hit: 14 (4d6) piercing damage, or 7 (2d6) piercing damage if the swarm has half of its hit points or fewer.
The Swarm of Quippers is a relatively low-level creature with very little in terms of special abilities, making it somewhat underwhelming as an encounter. Its condition immunities may not come into play very often, and it lacks any real threat beyond its small amount of damage. However, the creature could be useful in certain situations, such as urban settings where bodies of water are prevalent. Overall, the Swarm of Quippers is not particularly exciting but can be a decent addition for DMs looking to add some variety to their encounters.
Swarm of Quippers is D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) 5th edition content, but other TTRPGs may have their own version such as a Swarm of Quippers Pathfinder edition. Want to use Swarm of Quippers in a VTT (virtual tabletop)? Try out SendingStone for free today!
