Blood Drain: Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage, and the stirge attaches to the target. While attached, the stirge doesn't attack. Instead, at the start of each of the stirge's turns, the target loses 5 (1d4 + 3) hit points due to blood loss.
The stirge can detach itself by spending 5 feet of its movement. It does so after it drains 10 hit points of blood from the target or the target dies. A creature, including the target, can use its action to detach the stirge.

The SendingStone review

The Stirge is an unaligned creature with a low challenge rating in Dungeons & Dragons. Its stats show that it has natural armor and a good Dexterity score, but low hit points and charisma. The Stirge's main attack is "Blood Drain," which allows it to suck the blood of its target and heal itself.

In terms of gameplay, the Stirge can be a nuisance to low-level characters, but is not much of a threat to more experienced adventurers. However, it does have the potential to be a memorable enemy due to its unique attack and appearance. Some players may enjoy the challenge of fighting off a swarm of Stirges, while others may find them to be annoying pests. Overall, the opinion on the Stirge may vary depending on the individual player's experience with them.

Stirge is D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) 5th edition content, but other TTRPGs may have their own version such as a Stirge Pathfinder edition. Want to use Stirge in a VTT (virtual tabletop)? Try out SendingStone for free today!
