Choose a willing creature that you can see within range. Until the spell ends, the target's speed is doubled, it gains a +2 bonus to AC, it has advantage on Dexterity saving throws, and it gains an additional action on each of its turns. That action can be used only to take the Attack (one weapon attack only), Dash, Disengage, Hide, or Use an Object action.

When the spell ends, the target can't move or take actions until after its next turn, as a wave of lethargy sweeps over it.

The SendingStone review

Haste is a powerful spell that allows a sorcerer or wizard to greatly enhance the speed and reaction time of a creature they target. The spell has a casting time of one action, is concentration-based, and can last up to one minute. As a level 3 spell, it requires the use of verbal, somatic, and material components to cast successfully. The material component is a shaving of licorice root.

Overall, Haste is a highly advantageous spell that can significantly increase the effectiveness of a creature in battle or other situations that require agility and quick reflexes. However, the need for concentration means that the caster must be able to maintain focus for the entire duration of the spell. Additionally, using Haste too frequently can be dangerous, both for the caster and the target, as it greatly increases the risk of exhaustion and other negative effects. As such, careful and strategic use of Haste is essential to ensure its maximum benefits.

Haste is D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) 5th edition content, but other TTRPGs may have their own version such as a Haste Pathfinder edition. Want to use Haste in a VTT (virtual tabletop)? Try out SendingStone for free today!
