Guards include members of a city watch, sentries in a citadel or fortified town, and the bodyguards of merchants and nobles.
Spear: Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) piercing damage or 5 (1d8 + 1) piercing damage if used with two hands to make a melee attack.
The Guard is a very weak creature with low stats and a low challenge rating of only 1/8. They are mainly used as NPCs in campaigns, acting as basic soldiers or town guards. However, their low stats make them more of a minor obstacle rather than a significant threat to the players. The Guard's lack of special abilities or features also means that they are not particularly interesting or memorable as enemies. Overall, while the Guard has its uses in a campaign, it is far from a standout creature.
Guard is D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) 5th edition content, but other TTRPGs may have their own version such as a Guard Pathfinder edition. Want to use Guard in a VTT (virtual tabletop)? Try out SendingStone for free today!
