Giant owls often befriend fey and other sylvan creatures and are guardians of their woodland realms.
Flyby: The owl doesn't provoke opportunity attacks when it flies out of an enemy's reach.
Keen Hearing and Sight: The owl has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or sight.
Talons: Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (2d6 + 1) slashing damage.
The Giant Owl is a rather unremarkable creature with average statistics and a low challenge rating. However, it does have the ability to fly and can be useful for scouting or delivering messages. Its neutral alignment and low charisma also make it a somewhat unassuming creature that may not attract unwanted attention. Overall, while certainly not a powerhouse creature, the Giant Owl can have its uses in certain situations.
Giant Owl is D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) 5th edition content, but other TTRPGs may have their own version such as a Giant Owl Pathfinder edition. Want to use Giant Owl in a VTT (virtual tabletop)? Try out SendingStone for free today!
