You touch a willing creature. The target gains a flying speed of 60 feet for the duration. When the spell ends, the target falls if it is still aloft, unless it can stop the fall.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 3rd.
The spell Fly allows a character to soar through the sky and is available to sorcerers, warlocks, and wizards. It requires vocal, somatic, and material components and takes one action to cast. Fly also demands concentration and lasts up to 10 minutes. If a higher spell slot is used, the spell's duration increases. Opinions on the spell Fly are mixed – on one hand, it grants the user significant mobility when maneuvering through the battlefield. On the other hand, it requires concentration and can leave the caster vulnerable to attacks. Ultimately, whether Fly is a valuable spell depends on the player's strategy and combat style.
Fly is D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) 5th edition content, but other TTRPGs may have their own version such as a Fly Pathfinder edition. Want to use Fly in a VTT (virtual tabletop)? Try out SendingStone for free today!
