When you or a creature within 60 feet of you falls Choose up to five falling creatures within range. A falling creature's rate of descent slows to 60 feet per round until the spell ends. If the creature lands before the spell ends, it takes no falling damage and can land on its feet, and the spell ends for that creature.
The Feather Fall spell is a valuable tool for characters who are likely to fall from great heights, either accidentally or intentionally. Its effectiveness doesn't depend on the target's weight or equipment, and it has a long range of 60 feet, making it useful for groups of adventurers. Importantly, this spell does require concentration for its full duration, meaning that any other concentration spells the caster may have active will end as soon as Feather Fall is cast. While it is relatively low-level, it can save a character's life in the right situation.
Feather Fall is D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) 5th edition content, but other TTRPGs may have their own version such as a Feather Fall Pathfinder edition. Want to use Feather Fall in a VTT (virtual tabletop)? Try out SendingStone for free today!
