The SendingStone review

In my opinion, the Cockatrice is a fascinating creature that serves as an intriguing addition to fantasy settings. With its ability to turn creatures to stone through a petrifying gaze, the Cockatrice poses a notable threat to adventurers. At a Challenge Rating of 1/2, it is not the most formidable foe, but its Stone Curse can still be quite deadly. Additionally, while its low Charisma and Intelligence scores may suggest it lacks intelligence, the Cockatrice's ability to perfectly mimic other creatures' sounds suggests a capacity for cunning. Overall, the Cockatrice is an interesting and unique monster that can make for compelling encounters in tabletop RPGs.

Cockatrice is D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) 5th edition content, but other TTRPGs may have their own version such as a Cockatrice Pathfinder edition. Want to use Cockatrice in a VTT (virtual tabletop)? Try out SendingStone for free today!
